AfriCAN is working through our projects in Ghana to give young people access to higher education. Higher education improves the future prospects of the students, and education is a driving force for social and economic development in the country.
Ghana is a democracy and characterized by relatively high stability compared to other countries in the region. Despite economic growth, poverty and social inequality is still widespread in the country. AfriCAN’s projects are taking place in the northern part of Ghana, which since colonial times has been neglected and underdeveloped compared to the South. The projects are carried out in close cooperation with our Ghanaian partner organization CSIF, which handles the daily implementation of the projects.
